Mailing Services

Why use QRP Mailing Services?
Mailing services are for everything from marketing pieces, postcards and posters to annual reports and brochures. Ask us about mailing list purchase and management, mail coding and customization and pre-sorting. Having one company coordinate printing and mailing saves you time and money.

For as little as 4 cents per card you'll save 6 cents or more in postage.

Here's what we do:
- Process your mailing list using software certified and approved by the Postal Service.
- Compare your list to the NCOA database and fix any bad addresses.
- Print the addresses and barcodes on your postcards.
- Sort the mailing in accordance with postal regulations.
- Bundle and tray the postcards in accordance with postal regulations.
- Deliver to the Post Office's special bulk mail facility where they are inspected and then mailed.

What's all this talk about Move Update & NCOA?
Effective November 23rd 2008 the USPS will be mandating that all Presorted First Class, Presorted Standard, and Non Profit (bulk or business mail) mail be run through the National Change Of Address database (NCOA) also known as Move Update. This update will not apply to First Class mailings that are Stamped or Metered. The NCOA database consists of all address changes that the USPS has been notified of. This process will reduce the number of mail pieces that will require forwarding, returning, or disposal. Once your mail list has been run through NCOA it will be good for 95 days. This will assure you that all addresses have correct occupant names.

Exception:
Mail pieces using Alternate Address formats are not subject to Move Update, however we still recommend its use.

  1. “ Jane Doe or Current Resident”
  2. “Occupant”
  3. “To our friends at”

How is QRP helping with this transition?
Send us your list as you normally would and we’ll take care of the rest. We’ve already set in place the systems and procedures our customers need to conform to the Move Update. You can feel confident that even more of your mail is reaching the intended recipient.

What does QRP need from its Customers?
Please review, sign and mail the below forms back to us.

Processing Acknowledgement Form
Move Update Certification Form

What happens if your lists don’t conform to Move Update standards?
Keep in mind that the Post Office is proposing a fine of $.07 per address/piece for all mailings that don’t conform to the move update. You would not only be responsible for the pieces that did not conform to Move Update, but the entire mailing list. Example: You send out a mailing with 10,000 pieces and the Post Office detects that 500 of them were not corrected. You are responsible for the fine on all pieces mailed. Example: 10,000 x $.07 = $700 Fine (Not 500 x $.07 = $35.00).
